What it is

The Andrews G017 is a 6 bar expansion relief valve with 1½" x 2 inch DN40 connections. It is fitted to Andrews water heaters in the Supaflo EVO range and opens to discharge excess pressure from the expansion vessel, protecting the cylinder and associated components from over-pressurisation.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water discharging continuously from the relief valve discharge pipe
  • The valve weeping or dripping when system pressure is within its normal range
  • System pressure failing to hold, with repeated pressure loss
  • The valve failing to reseat after it has operated
  • Scale, corrosion or debris visible around the valve seat or outlet
