What it is
The *COAL PACK SOM20 is a replacement coal pack manufactured by Valor, intended for use in appliances carrying the SOM20 reference. The coals sit in the fuel bed of a gas appliance, where they shape the flame picture and help distribute radiant heat across the bed. It is supplied as a consumable pack rather than an appliance-specific mechanical spare.
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance's model or data badge carries the SOM20 reference before ordering, as the coal pack is identified by this code.
- Check the existing fuel bed and the appliance's installation or servicing instructions for the correct coal type and layout.
- Compare the product name and part number against the details held for the appliance to be sure this pack is the one specified for it.
- Coals are a consumable item and may need renewing as part of routine servicing.
