What it is
The Firebird diffuser (20, 26 and 35kW) is a burner component for Firebird oil-fired boilers. It sits at the burner head and shapes the air pattern around the nozzle so that fuel and air mix correctly for stable combustion. It is manufactured by Firebird, part number FE65327203.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Combustion readings drift and cannot be brought back into tolerance by nozzle and pressure adjustment alone
- Soot deposits building on the burner head and heat exchanger
- Visible distortion, cracking or erosion of the diffuser after a long service interval
- Unstable flame or repeated lockouts at the burner
- Uneven or lazy flame pattern at the burner head during commissioning checks
Before you order
- Confirm the burner model and rating on the appliance data plate
- Check the existing diffuser against the burner head for fitment and orientation before ordering
- Verify the diffuser is not supplied as part of a service kit that the appliance already has
- Match the rating band to the boiler output, as the same diffuser covers 20, 26 and 35kW units
