What it is
The BLAST TUBE O RING is a Firebird sealing component for the blast tube on compatible oil-fired boilers. It seals the blast tube joint to contain kerosene and maintain correct combustion airflow. It is intended for use with the FB 2 K LN LOW Nox kerosene burner range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Kerosene seepage or weeping at the blast tube joint
- A persistent kerosene odour around the burner
- Sooty combustion or an unstable flame that does not correct with routine servicing
- Burner lockouts that recur after the blast tube has been disturbed
- Hardening, flattening, cuts or cracks visible on the O ring
