What it is

A pair of straight-pattern ball valves with an integral pressure port, manufactured by Caleffi for use on Caleffi HIU appliances. The valves provide isolation on the appliance pipework and allow system pressure to be read or bled at the port. They are supplied as a matched pair for the relevant connections.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The valve spindle weeps or drips when the valve is operated or left open
  • The lever is stiff, seized or will not turn through its full travel
  • The valve no longer isolates the appliance, with flow continuing when closed
  • The pressure port cap or connection leaks, or the port will not seal
  • Visible corrosion or scale around the valve body or unions

Before you order

  • Confirm your appliance is a Caleffi HIU unit and check the model against the manufacturer's parts list
  • Check the pipework connections and valve size on your installation match the valves being replaced
  • Confirm a pressure port is required at this position on the pipework
  • Check whether one valve or the pair is being replaced
