What it is
The EOGB F04-0003 is a twin transformer supplied as a spare for EOGB oil boiler appliances. It supersedes part numbers 119-77701 and 052L0082, so it can be fitted where either of those references was originally used. The transformer provides the high-voltage supply that drives ignition on the appliance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to fire and no spark is present at the ignition electrodes
- Repeated lockouts on start-up that clear only after several attempts
- A buzzing, humming or arcing noise from the transformer area
- Visible scorching, cracking or a burnt smell around the transformer body
- Intermittent ignition that becomes progressively less reliable
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance is an EOGB Fida
- Check the part number printed on the existing transformer against F04-0003, 119-77701 or 052L0082
- Confirm the existing component is the twin transformer type
- Isolate the electrical supply to the appliance before removing or fitting any component
