What it is
The Tesla EVSV is a 3/4" MBSP x 3/4" FBSP expansion vessel service valve with a drain-off facility. It is fitted on pressure vessel and accessory installations to isolate the expansion vessel from the heating system and to allow the vessel to be drained during servicing. The valve sits within the isolation valve range for boiler and pressure vessel spares.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping from the valve body or spindle
- Drain-off port failing to seal when closed
- Handle or spindle seized, so the vessel cannot be isolated
- Corrosion or scale build-up on the brass body
- Expansion vessel cannot be isolated from the system
