What it is
The Grant EFBS49 baffle set is a baffle assembly for Grant Euroflame 90/120 oil-fired boilers. The baffles sit in the boiler's heat exchanger flueways, where they slow and redirect combustion gases so more heat is transferred to the water. They are a serviceable item, removed and refitted during cleaning and servicing.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Visible corrosion, warping or cracking of the baffles
- Heavy soot or carbon deposits that cannot be cleaned off
- Falling boiler efficiency, with more fuel used for the same heat output
- Higher than normal flue gas temperatures
- Baffles found damaged or missing during a service
Before you order
- Confirm the boiler is a Grant Euroflame 90/120 model
- Check the existing baffle arrangement and quantity against the boiler's parts list
- Inspect the heat exchanger for damage or heavy deposits while access is available
