What it is

The Andrews FIG500T is a 2 inch temperature and pressure relief valve with a 280 mm body, supplied under part number E675. It is fitted to Andrews water heaters to discharge water if the stored temperature or pressure exceeds safe limits. The valve opens automatically and reseats once conditions return to normal.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Water weeping or dripping from the valve outlet when the system is below its set pressure.
  • The valve fails to reseat after discharging, leaving a continuous drip.
  • Discharge occurs during every heating cycle rather than only at the set limits.
  • Scale, corrosion or mineral deposits around the valve outlet or seat.
  • The valve lever is stiff, seized or does not return to the closed position.
