What it is
A genuine Nu-Way safety gas valve actuator, part number E08206P, supplied as the Siemens SKP15.000E2. It is an electro-hydraulic actuator that opens the gas valve slowly under normal operation and closes it rapidly (in under 0.8 seconds) if power is interrupted, providing the safety shut-off function on the burner's gas valve.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner locks out on a gas valve or safety fault
- Gas valve fails to open fully or close correctly
- Slow or erratic valve opening affecting ignition
- Unusual gas odour near the valve (isolate the gas supply immediately and call a Gas Safe engineer)
Before you order
- Match the part number on your existing actuator before ordering
- Isolate the gas and electrical supply before removing the old actuator
- Fitting and gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
