What it is
The EOGB E03-KBB-65-15 is a KBB-type fire valve with a 65°C trip temperature and a 1.5m capillary. It is an oil line safety valve used on EOGB Teddington boiler installations, closing the fuel supply when the sensing element reaches its set temperature.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The valve does not shut off the oil supply when the sensing element is heated to its trip temperature.
- The capillary is kinked, crushed or corroded, preventing correct sensing.
- The valve body or connections weep oil.
- The valve trips repeatedly at normal operating temperatures, interrupting the burner.
- The remote sensing phial is damaged or no longer sits correctly in its mounting.
