What it is
The Suntec AJ6AC1000 is an oil pump manufactured by Suntec for oil-fired heating appliances. It forms part of the fuel supply circuit, moving oil from the storage tank to the burner at the pressure the appliance requires. This unit is listed for oil spares and boiler applications.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner locks out and will not fire, with no oil reaching the nozzle
- Pump pressure cannot be set or held steady during commissioning
- Oil weeping from the pump body, shaft seal or port fittings
- Grinding, whining or rattling noise from the pump while the burner runs
- The pump runs but delivers no oil, or delivery is intermittent
Before you order
- Read the model and code stamped on the existing pump body and match it to AJ6-AC-1000
- Confirm your appliance model against the manufacturer's parts list
- Check the oil line, filter and nozzle condition, as faults elsewhere can mimic pump failure
- Confirm the pump orientation and port arrangement suit the appliance before fitting
