What it is
The Andrews E016 is a brass adaptor used when changing a gas valve connection from a Robert Shaw type to a White Rodgers type. It is fitted to Andrews water heaters and boilers as part of the gas valve assembly. The adaptor provides the correct threaded interface between the valve and the appliance pipework.

- Gas smell or a leak detected at the adaptor joint
- Corrosion, cracking or pitting on the brass body
- Damaged or cross-threaded connection threads
- The adaptor will not seal against the gas valve or pipework
- The adaptor is seized or deformed after valve removal
