What it is
The Nuway Twin Solenoid is a dual solenoid valve assembly used on Nuway oil burners. It controls oil flow through the burner's pipework, with two solenoids allowing staged high/low operation. This version is specified for burners produced from May 1984 onwards.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner fails to light or repeatedly locks out with oil present at the pump
- No oil delivered to the nozzle, with the burner completing pre-purge then locking out
- Solenoid coil shows an open circuit or no resistance when tested with a meter
- Intermittent firing, or the burner drops out after running
- Audible buzzing from the solenoid without the valve opening

- Check the existing coil supply is 230V 50/60Hz
- Verify the oil connection is 1/8in
