What it is
The EOGB Delevan nozzle is an oil burner nozzle with a 2.00 x 45 A specification, used to atomise fuel oil as it is delivered to the burner. It is produced under the EOGB brand in the Delevan range and is fitted to oil-fired boiler burners. Correct atomisation at the nozzle is what allows the fuel to mix with combustion air and burn cleanly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Persistent sooting of the combustion chamber, baffles or flue ways
- Smoke or a visibly dark, ragged flame at the burner
- Rough or delayed ignition, or a burner that will not light reliably
- Rising fuel consumption without a change in demand or settings
- Visible carbon build-up or damage at the nozzle tip on inspection
Before you order
- Confirm the nozzle size, spray angle and pattern match the figures specified for the burner in the boiler or burner manual
- Check the burner make and model to be sure the Delevan nozzle is the correct type for it
- Verify the nozzle is accessible and removable on the burner being serviced before ordering
- Check the existing nozzle marking against the 2.00 x 45 A specification so the replacement matches
