What it is
The Danfoss oil nozzle is a burner nozzle rated 8.50 with a 60 degree spray angle and a B type designation. It is fitted to EOGB Danfoss oil-fired boiler burners, where it atomises the oil supply into a fine spray for combustion. The nozzle is a service item and is replaced as part of routine burner maintenance or when combustion readings fall outside tolerance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Soot deposits or black smoke at the burner, indicating poor atomisation
- Rising smoke number or CO readings at the combustion analyser
- Unstable or pulsating flame that will not settle at the correct setting
- Difficulty achieving a clean, repeatable combustion set-up after servicing
- Nozzle body showing contamination, blockage or a visible drip after shutdown
Before you order
- Confirm the required flow rating and spray angle against the burner manufacturer's data plate or commissioning sheet
- Check that the B type designation matches the specification for your burner
- Verify your appliance model against the manufacturer's parts list before ordering
- Have the burner model and serial details to hand when checking compatibility
