What it is
The Heatline D003200896 is a plate heat exchanger with 16 plates, rated for 24kW appliances. It transfers heat between the primary circuit and the domestic hot water circuit inside the boiler. It is used across a number of Heatline gas boiler models.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Domestic hot water running hot and cold, or fluctuating in temperature
- Reduced hot water flow rate compared with the cold supply
- Water weeping or staining around the plate heat exchanger gaskets
- Scale or debris blocking the plate channels, causing poor heat transfer
- Primary and DHW circuits cross-contaminating, with pressure loss or discoloured water

- Check the existing plate heat exchanger for the plate count and part number marking
- Inspect the sealing O-rings and mounting gaskets, as these are not supplied with the exchanger
- Isolate the boiler and drain down before removal
