What it is
The Heatline air pressure switch is a safety device fitted to a range of Heatline gas boilers and water heaters. It monitors the pressure difference created by the fan and flue system, and only allows the boiler to proceed to ignition when that pressure is proven. This version is rated at 0.85/0.7 mbar.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler locks out or fails to fire, with the fan running but no ignition sequence starting
- Repeated or intermittent lockouts that clear on reset and then return
- A fault code or status indication relating to air pressure or the pressure switch
- The boiler will not start after fan, flue or combustion cover work
- No switching action at the switch when the fan is running
