What it is

The Heatline NTC immersion sensor is a negative temperature coefficient thermistor used to monitor domestic hot water temperature on Heatline gas boilers. It is an immersion-type probe with an operating range of -40°C to 110°C, and it supersedes the earlier code 3003200031. The sensor feeds a resistance signal back to the boiler's control board so the appliance can regulate hot water delivery.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • Hot water temperature fluctuates or runs cold despite a demand signal
  • Boiler locks out or fails to fire on a hot water call
  • Fault code relating to the DHW sensor stored in the boiler's fault memory
  • Sensor resistance readings outside the expected range for the measured water temperature
  • Erratic or implausible temperature values shown against hot water operation
