What it is
The EPH Controls CMT is a tamperproof room thermostat designed to control space heating in domestic and light commercial systems. It uses a single pole double throw (SPDT) switching arrangement, so it can be wired to make and break a heating demand circuit on changeover. The enclosure is tamperproof, which suits installations where the setpoint should not be adjusted by the occupant.
Before you order
- Confirm the control voltage available at the thermostat position — the unit is rated for both 230 V AC and 24 V AC supplies, so match it to the system
- Check that the existing wiring provides the conductors needed for an SPDT changeover connection, including the switched output
- Verify the CMT model code against the unit being replaced, as other EPH thermostat variants are not covered by these ratings
- Consider the mounting position and whether a tamperproof enclosure is appropriate for the location
