What it is
The Charnwood 010/NV31 throat plate is a firebox component supplied by Charnwood for its solid fuel appliances. It is positioned within the combustion area and forms part of the path taken by flue gases as they leave the fire bed. As a wear item exposed to high temperatures, the plate is subject to distortion and cracking over time.
Before you order
- Check the part number against the appliance's data plate, manual or the markings on the existing plate before ordering.
- Confirm the appliance model so the correct throat plate is selected.
- Inspect the existing plate for warping, cracking or heavy scaling, and replace where the plate no longer sits correctly.
- Fitting is best carried out by a competent heating engineer with the appliance cold and the flue isolated.
