What it is
The Altecnic 10mm Straight Eclipse Valve is a radiator valve for use on domestic heating systems, supplied with a WH and LS cap. It forms part of the Altecnic Eclipse valve range, which is fitted to radiators to control the flow of water through the emitter. The straight pattern body is intended for pipework that approaches the radiator in line with the valve outlet.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping from the spindle or gland when the valve is operated
- The valve will not shut off fully, leaving the radiator warm when the system is off
- The valve head or spindle is seized and cannot be turned
- Visible corrosion, scale or a cracked body around the valve
