What it is
The Ecocal 10mm Straight Twin Pack is a pair of straight-pattern radiator valves from Altecnic, part of the Ecocal rad valves range. They are fitted to radiators within that range to control water flow to and from the emitter. The straight body configuration is intended for pipework that approaches the valve at right angles to the radiator connection.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or staining around the valve body, spindle or tail connection
- The valve head will not turn, or turns without any effect on radiator temperature
- Radiator stays cold or overheats because the valve no longer shuts off or opens fully
- Persistent noise or vibration through the valve when the system is running
