What it is
The Andrews C772 is an extension nipple for a 3/4" temperature and pressure (T&P) relief valve. It is manufactured by Andrews for use on Andrews water heaters. The nipple extends the threaded connection point between the appliance and the T&P relief valve.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Weeping or dripping at the T&P valve connection
- Corrosion, rust or scale build-up on the nipple
- Damaged or crossed threads preventing a leak-free seal
- Cracking or deformation of the nipple
- Difficulty refitting the T&P valve after removal
