What it is
A genuine Andrews multifunction gas valve, part number C575, set up for LPG ('E' variant). When the electronic controls signal a need for gas, the valve opens to allow gas flow to the pilot assembly or burner, depending on the appliance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Appliance fails to ignite despite a call for heat
- Gas valve fails to open or close correctly
- Appliance locks out on a gas or ignition fault
- Unusual gas odour near the valve (isolate the gas supply immediately and call a Gas Safe engineer)
Before you order
- Match the part number and gas type (LPG) on your existing valve before ordering
- Isolate the gas and electrical supply before removing the old valve
- Fitting and gas work must be carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer
