What it is
The PRESSURE SWITCH NB50 is a Nuway pressure limiter switch with manual reset, supplied under part number C50077L. It is listed in the manufacturer's catalogue as the NB 50/1A4 manual reset pressure limiter and is used on Nuway gas booster appliances. Its function is to monitor pressure within the booster and trip the appliance when the set condition is exceeded, requiring a manual reset before the appliance will run again.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The booster locks out and will not restart until the reset is operated manually.
- Repeated nuisance tripping with no obvious change in the appliance's operating conditions.
- The appliance fails to fire or run even though pressure at the switch is within its normal working range.
- Reset button has no effect, or the switch will not hold in the run position.
- Visible damage, contamination or moisture ingress at the switch body or its connections.
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model is a Nuway GB3160 or GB3500 gas booster.
- Check the existing switch carries the NB50 marking and part number C50077L.
- Verify the switch is the manual reset type, as the reset arrangement must match the appliance's control sequence.
