What it is
The UB50 pressure switch is a manual reset pressure limit switch manufactured by Nuway. It is fitted to Nuway NGN series burners, where it monitors pressure and interrupts the burner sequence when the set limit is exceeded, requiring a manual reset before the appliance will run again.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner locks out and will not restart until the reset is operated manually.
- Repeated manual resets are needed during normal running.
- The burner shuts down at pressures within its normal operating range.
- The switch fails to respond when system pressure changes.
- The reset mechanism does not latch or hold after being operated.
Before you order
- Check the existing switch marking to confirm it is a UB50 unit before ordering.
- Confirm the appliance is one of the NGN models listed, and note whether it is single phase or three phase.
- Verify the reset type required is manual reset, as this switch is a manual reset pressure limit device.
- Check the burner's technical documentation for the correct limit setting and wiring connections.
