What it is
The Nuway GW 10 is an air pressure switch used on Nuway gas appliances to prove that combustion air is moving before the burner is allowed to fire. It monitors the pressure difference across the fan or air path and signals the control circuit accordingly. The part is supplied under the Nuway GW 10 designation (SKU C50055N).
Signs this part needs replacing
- Appliance locks out or fails to reach ignition despite the fan running
- Burner fires intermittently, cutting out shortly after start-up
- Fault code or lockout pattern consistent with an air proving fault
- Pressure switch contacts fail to change state when the fan is proven to be running
- Visible damage, contamination or blocked sensing connections at the switch
