What it is
The Horstmann (Secure) C1727 is a smart, wireless 2-channel heating programmer with an integrated receiver and programmable thermostat display. It controls heating (and stored hot water, where fitted) on combi, system or heat pump boilers, and is app-enabled via Bluetooth with an optional plug-in Wi-Fi adapter for full smart control.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Wireless display loses connection with the receiver or fails to update
- Heating or hot water no longer follows the programmed schedule
- Display is unresponsive or blank even with fresh batteries
- App or Bluetooth pairing repeatedly fails
Before you order
- Confirm the existing backplate is the standard 6-pin type used by CentaurPlus/ServicePlus programmers
- Check whether a Wi-Fi adapter is needed separately for remote app control
