What it is
The Firebird Elco burner is a low NOx burner rated at 73kW, listed by the manufacturer as part BRN073ELN. It is the combustion unit fitted to Firebird oil-fired boilers, where it mixes and fires the fuel under controlled conditions to produce the boiler's heat output. The low NOx design reduces nitrogen oxide emissions compared with a standard burner of the same output.
Before you order
- Confirm the existing burner's output rating matches 73kW, as the rating must suit the boiler it serves.
- Check the burner code on the appliance against BRN073ELN before ordering.
- Confirm whether a low NOx burner is required for the installation.
- Refer to the boiler manufacturer's documentation for the correct burner specification for the model.
