What it is
The Johnson & Starley BOS02394 is a PTFE-insulated high-tension lead fitted with a spade terminal at each end. It carries the piezo ignition spark from the piezo unit to the ignition electrode on Johnson & Starley gas appliances. It is listed under electrodes in the manufacturer's spares range.
Signs this part needs replacing
- No spark at the ignition electrode when the piezo button is pressed
- Weak, intermittent or erratic sparking at the electrode
- Cracked, split or perished insulation along the lead
- Soot tracking or arcing marks on the lead or at the terminals
- Loose or corroded spade terminals that will not grip the electrode or piezo unit
