What it is

The BOS01104 is a gas control supplied with a Minisit thermostat, manufactured by Johnson & Starley. It is fitted to Janus 3 series water heaters and hot water circulators, where it regulates gas flow to the burner and controls the delivered water temperature.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The burner fails to light or will not stay lit.
  • Water temperature cannot be set or held, with the thermostat having no effect on the burner.
  • The appliance runs continuously or overheats because gas flow is not being regulated.
  • The gas control body shows signs of leakage, corrosion or impact damage.
  • The thermostat spindle or knob is stiff, seized or broken.
