What it is
The Biasi BI1536105 is a fan assembly used on Biasi gas boilers in the RIVA Compact HE, RIVA PLUS HE and Garda HE Mk2 ranges. It draws combustion air through the burner and pushes flue products out through the flue system, and is monitored by the boiler's control board to prove airflow before ignition. The assembly carries the fan designation M96A.24SM/C.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler locks out or fails to ignite because the fan cannot prove airflow
- Grinding, rumbling or whining noise from the fan area during start-up or running
- Fan impeller does not spin freely, or does not turn at all when the boiler calls for heat
- Repeated fan-related fault codes on the boiler display
- Intermittent operation, with the boiler running for short periods before shutting down
