What it is
This is a Biasi central heating flow switch assembly, supplied together with its temperature probe cable and modulator cable. It is fitted to Biasi gas boiler appliances built from serial number N018400805 onwards. The flow switch detects water movement through the central heating circuit and signals the boiler to fire and modulate accordingly.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Boiler fails to fire on a central heating demand despite the pump running
- Heating operates intermittently, cutting in and out without reaching set temperature
- Boiler locks out or shuts down shortly after ignition
- Flow switch paddle or body shows scale, debris or mechanical damage
- Cable or connector to the temperature probe or modulator is chafed, brittle or loose
