What it is
The SIT 845 Sigma gas valve is a multi-functional gas control valve used on Biasi gas boilers. It regulates gas supply to the burner and provides the safety shut-off function that stops gas flow when the burner fails to prove flame. This version is specified for appliances from serial number N018400805 onwards.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The boiler fails to ignite or repeatedly locks out with no gas reaching the burner
- Flame is established then drops out shortly after, with the valve failing to hold open
- Gas supply to the burner is intermittent or absent during a heat demand
- The valve body shows signs of leakage, corrosion or physical damage
- Burner pressure cannot be set or held steady during commissioning
