What it is
The Biasi 3 bar safety valve (part number BI1181100) is a pressure relief component for Biasi gas boilers. It opens at 3 bar to discharge excess pressure from the heating circuit, protecting the appliance and system components. This version is specified for Biasi models manufactured up to April 2011.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping or dripping from the discharge pipe when the system is below 3 bar
- Boiler pressure repeatedly dropping and needing topping up
- System pressure rising above 3 bar without discharge
- Valve failing to reseat after operating, causing a continuous drip
- Visible scale or corrosion around the valve outlet
