What it is

The Biasi 3 way motor valve (BI1101102) is a diverter valve assembly used on Biasi combi boilers. It sits in the hydraulic circuit and moves to send heated primary water either around the central heating system or through the domestic hot water heat exchanger, depending on which service is being called for. That changeover is what allows a combi boiler to deliver both heating and hot water from a single burner and heat exchanger.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • No hot water at the tap while the central heating is running, or the heating warming up when a hot tap is opened.
  • Domestic hot water temperature swinging hot and cold as the valve fails to hold its position.
  • The valve head not moving, or failing to respond when hot water or heating is demanded.
  • Radiators heating when only domestic hot water has been called for.
  • Water weeping from the valve body, spindle or motor housing.

Before you order

  • Match the boiler model and GC number against the compatibility list before ordering, as the same valve body is used across several Garda and M90E variants.
  • The alternative number 1650216 may appear on older labels, manuals or supplier records for the same valve.
  • Inspect the seals and the valve housing when the old unit is removed, and renew any seal that shows hardening or damage before refitting.
