What it is

The air pressure switch test point cap is a Biasi component used on the air pressure switch assembly of a range of Biasi gas boilers. It seals and protects the test point on the switch, allowing flue and fan pressure readings to be taken during commissioning, servicing and fault diagnosis. It is supplied as a single cap.

Signs this part needs replacing

  • The cap is missing from the test point, leaving the switch open to atmosphere
  • Cracking or splitting visible on the cap body
  • The cap is brittle, hardened or perished and no longer grips the test point
  • Air noise or leakage at the test point during operation
  • The air pressure switch cannot be tested reliably because the test point will not seal

Before you order

  • Confirm the appliance model and, where applicable, the GC number against the manufacturer's parts list
  • Check whether your boiler uses the current BI1036101 or the earlier KG1267501 part
  • Inspect the air pressure switch and test point for damage beyond the cap before ordering
  • Confirm the existing cap is missing or split rather than the switch itself being faulty
