What it is
The Biasi BI1001112 is a 3 bar safety valve (pressure relief valve) with a 1/2 inch connection, used on Biasi gas boilers. It is a Caleffi 512 pattern valve that opens and discharges water when system pressure exceeds 3 bar, protecting the boiler and heating circuit from over-pressurisation. This code supersedes BG1001112.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water dripping or running from the boiler discharge pipe while the system is cold
- Boiler pressure gauge reading rising above 3 bar
- System pressure dropping and needing frequent topping up
- Discharge outlet permanently wet or showing limescale staining
- Valve failing to reseat and continuing to pass water after discharging

- Check the discharge pipework is correctly routed and terminated before fitting
