Baxi 248042 Potterton & Main Grundfos Pump UPS 15/59

The Baxi 248042 is a replacement central heating pump rated 15/60, used to circulate water around the heating circuit of a range of Baxi, Potterton and Main combi boilers. The pump moves heated water from the boiler through the radiators and back again, so a failure here stops the system circulating even when the boiler itself is firing. It is supplied as a direct replacement for the original pump fitted to the listed appliance families.

• The boiler fires but radiators stay cold or heat unevenly across the property
• The pump is noisy in operation, with rumbling, grinding or humming that was not present before
• The pump body is hot but the pump head is not turning or is stiff to rotate
• The boiler locks out or reports a circulation or flow fault
• Radiators require repeated bleeding and the system will not hold consistent temperature

• Confirm the boiler model and the part number on the existing pump before ordering, as pump variants differ between appliance ranges
• Check whether a gasket or seal kit is required for the pump connection on your appliance, as these are often reused only if in good condition
• Have the boiler's GC number and serial number to hand when checking compatibility
