The Baxi 245122 is a full gas valve used in Baxi gas appliances. It acts as the gas distribution device for the appliance, sitting between the gas supply and the pilot assembly or burner.

When the appliance needs more gas at the burner, the PCB sends a signal to the valve. The valve opens in response and allows gas to flow through to the pilot assembly or the burner, depending on the appliance type. Control of gas flow therefore depends on both the valve and the signal it receives.
