What it is
The EOGB Electrode for ST130 is an ignition electrode used on EOGB Bentone oil-fired boiler burners. It sits within the burner assembly and provides the spark that lights the oil/air mixture at start-up. The part is supplied under EOGB part number B03-00-119-24301.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The burner reaches the end of its pre-purge but fails to light, then locks out
- No visible spark at the electrode tips when the burner is observed during start-up
- Repeated lockouts on start-up that clear only after several attempts
- Insulation around the electrode cracked, blackened or tracking to earth
- Electrode tip eroded, distorted or heavily carbonised after service
