What it is
The B-96420 is a coal set manufactured by Kinder for use in selected Flavel Fires and Kinder gas fire appliances. It forms the fuel bed that sits in the firebox and shapes the flame picture and heat distribution across the appliance.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Coals are cracked, crumbling or breaking apart
- Coals are discoloured, sooted or heavily carbonised beyond cleaning
- One or more coals are missing from the fuel bed
- Flame picture has become uneven, weak or noticeably different from normal
- Coals no longer sit correctly in the firebox layout
Before you order
- Confirm your appliance model number matches one of the fitments listed
- Check the existing coal layout and count against the set before fitting
- Inspect the firebox and burner for damage that may also need attention
- Refer to the appliance manufacturer's instructions for correct coal positioning
