What it is
The INJECTOR CAT 16 SIZE 80 is a gas injector manufactured by Kinder. It meters gas flow into the burner of the appliance it is fitted to, and the stated size determines the flow rate for the specific fuel and appliance combination. It is used on the Kinder Kalahari HE COAL MC Mk2 LPG.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Burner flame is weak, uneven or noticeably smaller than expected
- Appliance fails to light or lights intermittently at the burner
- Flame burns with an incorrect appearance, such as lifting or excessive yellowing
- Gas rate measured at the meter falls outside the value given in the appliance instructions
- Injector shows visible blockage, debris or damage once removed for inspection
Before you order
- Confirm the appliance model and that it is the LPG version before ordering
- Check the existing injector marking matches CAT 16 and size 80
- Verify the injector is correct for the fuel type, as LPG and natural gas injectors are not interchangeable
- Work on gas-carrying components must be carried out by a competent Gas Safe registered engineer
