What it is
The Altecnic 1/2 F Single Check Valve DZR is a single check valve with a 1/2 inch female connection, manufactured in dezincification resistant (DZR) brass. It forms part of the Altecnic check valve range and is used to allow flow in one direction only, preventing backflow within heating and plumbing systems.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water continues to flow in the wrong direction through the valve, indicating the seat or disc is no longer sealing
- Persistent chatter, vibration or knocking noise from the valve in service
- Dripping or weeping from the valve body or connections that cannot be resolved by remaking the joint
