What it is
The Altecnic AI-373B15 is a 15mm ball valve supplied with a blue lever handle, part of the Altecnic ball valve range. It is fitted into pipework to isolate flow at that point, so water can be shut off for maintenance or repair. The lever handle operates the valve between fully open and fully closed.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping from the spindle or gland when the lever is operated
- The lever turns but flow does not stop fully when the valve is closed
- A stiff or seized lever that will not move through its travel
- Visible corrosion, scale or a damp patch around the valve body
- Dripping from the connections at either end of the valve
