Altecnic Gas Lever Ball Valve 22mm

The Altecnic 22mm Gas Lever Ball Valve is an isolation valve from the Altecnic ball valve range, operated by a lever handle. It is used on gas supply pipework serving boiler installations, allowing the gas supply to be shut off at the valve rather than at the meter. The valve body takes 22mm connections and is suited to gas-line isolation duties within the appliance circuit.

• The lever no longer turns smoothly, binds, or will not travel fully between open and closed positions.
• Gas passes through the valve when the lever is in the closed position.
• Visible leakage or weeping at the spindle or at either pipe connection.
• Corrosion, cracking, or mechanical damage to the valve body or lever.
• The lever has become detached or loose on the spindle.

• Confirm the pipework at the isolation point is 22mm, as the valve is sized to that connection.
• Confirm the valve is being fitted on a gas line where a lever-operated ball valve is the correct isolation type.
• Check there is enough clearance around the valve position for the lever to swing through its full travel.
• Verify the valve is going onto the Altecnic ball valve arrangement it is intended to serve.
