What it is
The Altecnic Ball Type Pump Valve is an isolation valve for use on central heating circulators, part of the Altecnic ball valve range. It uses a ball mechanism to shut off flow at the pump, allowing the circulator to be serviced or removed without draining the full system.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping from the valve body or gland when the system is running
- The lever no longer turns freely, or turns without shutting off flow
- Visible corrosion or scale around the connections
- Dripping at the pump union after tightening
- System cannot be isolated at the pump for servicing

- Confirm the pump tapping or mating connection is 1 1/2" female
