What it is
The Firebird ACC022PNR is a 22mm pump isolating valve supplied with an integral non-return check valve. It is fitted on Firebird oil-fired boilers so the circulating pump can be isolated for service, while the check valve prevents reverse flow through the pump.
Signs this part needs replacing
- Water weeping from the valve spindle or body
- The handle turns but the valve no longer shuts off the flow
- A seized or stiff isolating handle
- The check valve no longer holds, allowing reverse flow through the pump
- Leaks at the compression joints that cannot be cured by remaking the connection
Before you order
- Confirm the pipework is 22mm
- Check the flow direction arrow on the valve body matches the installation
- Verify your boiler model against the manufacturer's parts list
