What it is
The Firebird ACC022PIV is a 22mm pump isolating valve supplied by Firebird for use on Firebird oil-fired boilers. It isolates the circulating pump from the rest of the system so the pump can be serviced or removed without draining the whole installation.
Signs this part needs replacing
- The valve spindle or gland weeps or drips when operated
- The handle is seized, stiff or will not turn through its full travel
- The valve will not shut off fully, so the pump cannot be isolated
- Water weeps from the compression joints at either end of the valve body
- Visible corrosion or scale build-up around the valve body or spindle
Before you order
- Confirm the pipework at the valve position is 22mm
- Check your appliance model against the manufacturer's parts list
- Confirm how many valves are required for the installation
- Inspect the surrounding pipework and pump unions for condition before fitting
